Premier Climate-Controlled RV Storage NOW OPEN in Hickory, NC

Victory RV Storage offers secure, climate-controlled RV storage in Hickory, North Carolina. Our facility protects your RV, boat, or classic vehicle from the elements. We built it for owners who take their investment seriously. Phase 1 and Phase 2 are complete, and only a few units remain. Phase 3, our final phase, begins in early 2027 with thirteen additional units. Our goal is simple: we provide the highest standard of RV storage for motorhomes, boats, and collector vehicles in the Catawba Valley.

Our facility features spacious 18x50 climate-controlled units. They're built for large Class A motorhomes, boats on trailers, or multiple collector cars at once. A climate-controlled environment protects against North Carolina's humidity and temperature swings.

As a result, RV storage at Victory prevents hull blistering on boats. It also stops paint and interior damage on classic cars, plus mold, cracked seals, and sun damage on RVs. This keeps your valuable asset in peak condition. In addition, we spray the entire building for insect and pest prevention every quarter, to ensure maximum protection.

What Actually Happens Without RV Storage

Leave an RV parked outside in the Catawba Valley for a year, and you can predict what fails almost month by month. Take the rubber roof — EPDM or TPO on most units built in the last fifteen years. It starts to chalk and crack under direct UV within a couple of summers. Once it cracks, water works into the seams around vents and skylights. Often, no one notices until a stain shows up on the ceiling below.

Meanwhile, slide-out seals dry out and shrink in the heat. Then they let dust and moisture in every time the slide gets run. Tires that sit stationary for months develop flat spots and ozone-driven dry rot. Often, this happens well before the tread would ever suggest they need replacing. On its own, none of this is dramatic in the moment. But it's steady, and enclosed RV storage interrupts exactly this kind of damage.

Local Roads, Local Water

Storage only stays convenient if it fits how a rig actually gets used. That's why our RV storage location provides swift access to major routes like I-40 and US-321. This makes the start of any road trip seamless. For boating enthusiasts, we're just a short drive from Lake Hickory, so you can get on the water faster.

Why Climate-Controlled RV Storage Changes What Fails First

Covered storage keeps rain off. By contrast, climate-controlled RV storage does something different: it removes UV exposure entirely and holds both temperature and humidity in a narrow band. That combination stops the two most common failure modes.

On a boat, that means no more blistering in the gelcoat from repeated heat-and-moisture cycling. On an RV, it means the belly insulation and wiring harnesses underneath the coach stay dry. As a result, mice and other rodents lose most of their reason to move in over the winter. That's a real problem in unheated outdoor storage. Rodents can chew through wiring runs long before an owner ever opens the door to check.

Protecting Batteries and Engines During RV Storage

Climate control also matters for anything mechanical that sits idle. For example, a generator's carburetor can gum up fast once stale fuel starts to break down. Stable temperatures slow that process considerably, compared to a rig baking and freezing by turns in a gravel lot.

We built Victory RV Storage's 18x50 units around this logic. Each unit has a private entry and enough depth for a Class A motorhome or a trailered boat. We also installed a 20-amp outlet, so a trickle charger can offset the slow parasitic drain that kills batteries left sitting all winter. In addition, we spray the building for pests every quarter. That matters more than it sounds, since an undisturbed vehicle is exactly the kind of quiet space insects and rodents look for.
