Covered storage keeps rain off. By contrast, climate-controlled RV storage does something different: it removes UV exposure entirely and holds both temperature and humidity in a narrow band. That combination stops the two most common failure modes.

On a boat, that means no more blistering in the gelcoat from repeated heat-and-moisture cycling. On an RV, it means the belly insulation and wiring harnesses underneath the coach stay dry.
